Here are some gems all over Eastern NC! This list of thrift, antique & vintage spots is a great place to start if you're new to the area or thrifting.
The Grifton Mission, Happy's Emporium, The Big Sale, and Dickinson Avenue Antique Market are just a few of the many places in eastern North Carolina where you can find hidden treasures.
The Grifton Mission is a great place to start your thrifting journey. They have the lowest prices in the game and an abundance of dishes, clothes, furniture, and books, kid's toys, home building supplies & treasures. If you're lucky, you might stumble upon a vintage velvet and cane chair in perfect condition for only $30. Keep in mind that they only accept cash & stop by Greg's Pizza for a slice!
Located at 6927 S Highland Blvd, Grifton, NC (the old Piggly Wiggly)
Happy's Emporium, located at 543 3rd St, Ayden, NC, has different vendor booths with rotating inventory. Make sure to stop by Gwedy's Goodies while you're there for some treats. You might find a vintage San Fran mug for only $2, which is a steal.
This Heywood Wakefield table and four reupholstered chairs set from the 1950s was an exciting find!
They are located at 4268 Lee Street, Ayden, NC.
Dickinson Avenue Antique Market, located at 701 Dickinson Ave, Greenville, NC, might not necessarily be a "thrift," but it is definitely worth checking out. There are many things priced under $10, so don't skip this place if you think it's all high-priced antiques.
Supporting small businesses is equally important as shopping secondhand so be sure to stop by the Farmer's & Marker's Market across the street & one of the locally owned restaurants or brew spots while you're there!

So I can’t find the name of this place anywhere and I’ll be sure to ask the next time I’m in but I love this thrift as much as the Mission. Smaller but great selection and a little of everything. Stop by while you’re at the Shad Festival, they’re always open!
